According
to God’s Word the Bible, we are told in (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV) “For I know the
thoughts that I think towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of
evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This is what He meant by a future and a hope – to live to the best of
our abilities. To do unto others, as we
would want for them to do to us, and in all things to remain faithful and secure
in knowing that God, “has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was
given to us in Christ Jesus before time began” (Timothy 1:9 NKJV). This grace here is the same grace that raised
Jesus from the dead, according to (Ephesians 2:4 NKJV) “But God, who is rich in
mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead
in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been
saved).”
Therefore
we have no right to refuse to be happy in the life Jesus died on the cross to
give us, freedom in all areas of our life to choose, and adhere to His will and
purpose for our life, “For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for
good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
(Ephesians 2:10 NKJV)
God
wants us all to live long and fulfilled lives, but Satan wants the opposite,
“to steal and to kill and to destroy,” but Jesus says, “I have come that they
may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 NKJV). This means that we should guard our heart and
our mind against immorality, and perverse judgement—which according to
the dictionary means (obstinately or unreasonably wrong; refusing to do the
right, or refusing to admit error; self-willed; headstrong; stubborn;
peevish—perverseness, unreasonable refusal to do right; contrariness;
obstinacy; wickedness), for (Proverbs 4:23 NKJV) explains it as so, “Keep your
heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life,” “and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:7 NKJV)
God
made us in His own image, and equipped us with a free will to choose the good
things from the bad, which can harm and damage our status in life with despondency
(dejection of mind; depression; loss of hope or courage). These factors are the reason why people give
up on life ever getting better, and the loss of one’s willpower to live and
exist, become the dominant factor in their everyday living with losses, rather
than improvements. The only way this
form of dejection living (cast down; to dishearten; to depress; to dispirit; to
discourage), can be eradicated from one’s mind attitude, would be to cast it on
the Lord, for He is our peace and only He can save and redeem us from erroneous
thinking that our life is worthless where we are presently. Here is a short prayer to fix the problem
once and for all, to receive God’s grace for His abundant living re-established
in all our ways of thinking positively and adhere to the purposes we were all
created for good—
”Lord
Jesus I am truly sorry and repent of losing my willpower to live and exist in
the life you purposed for me. I will
trust and obey your pattern and purpose for my life, by surrendering all that I
am, and all that I have to you Jesus, for with God all things are possible, and
without you, I can do nothing. I am
truly sorry for the life of dejection thinking I have been living in of late,
and I cast it all onto you Jesus. I ask
you now Jesus to forgive me, and wash me clean whiter than snow from that
lifestyle of dejection living, which has stagnated me from moving forward in
your grace, so therefore, I now ask you Jesus to be my peace in all my decision
making, to be perfectly apt in diligence and honourable conduct all the days of
my life, so be it Lord Jesus to do it, for God is and God will provide, and I
draw the bloodline of Jesus over every lot in my life apart from your will,
Amen!”
