“Christmas
is the remembrance of God’s love for all of humanity, “For God loved the world
so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not
die but have eternal life. For God did
not send His Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its Saviour.” (John
3:16-17 GNT). This is the real Christmas
celebration, for what God did through Jesus’ birth to His resurrection from the
death He endured for our sins on the cross at Calvary, and then the
resurrection He won for us from the death sin brings, to accept the eternal
life He bought with His precious blood shed at Calvary on the cross of
redemption from all our sins past and present to whom we can freely hand over
in a repentance prayer, something like this to Jesus who is our Saviour and
Redeemer from the lost, to be found and saved for His glory – the Father’s in
all that we do and say afterwards to be a reminder of why Jesus was born, as we
celebrate the commemoration of His birth on the 25th of December, in
recognition of His sacrifice to bring us into the knowledge of God all
powerful, all knowing, and our sins paid in full to be reclaimed back to our
rightful place, to live our life in the best of our abilities to conquer evil
with Jesus who is the light of the world, and empowers us in His strength to do
all things through Him, that could never be achieved on our own:
*”Lord
Jesus the world has forgotten what Christmas truly means and its origin from
your being born of a virgin, dying on the cross at Calvary, and then on the
third day rising from the dead as the Scriptures foretold of your coming to
this day in my life, I believe that you are the Son of God, and that you died
on the cross at Calvary for my sins past and present, to redeem me from the
curse of sin and death into your great salvation of my soul and spirit for your
service of love in my life, and the forgiveness of others who have wronged me,
for I am a sinner needing you Jesus for my Saviour, as I repent of all my sins
from the time I was born to this present day which have interrupted your plan
for my life to do your will, and not as the world would suggest, being worldly,
committed to a life of self-indulgence rather than to remember you Jesus, and
what you suffered to bring my justice of all that I am belongs to you, and all
that I have belongs to you now and for always, Amen!”
