Psalm 127 - In Praise of God's Goodness

1. If the LORD does not build the house,
the work of the builders is useless;
if the LORD does not protect the city,
it does no good for the sentries to stand guard.
2. It is useless to work so hard for a living,
getting up early and going to be late.
For the LORD provides for those he loves,
while they are asleep.

3. Children are a gift from the LORD;
they are a real blessing.
4. The sons a man has when he is young
are like arrows in a soldier’s hand.
5. Happy is the man who has
many such arrows.
He will never be defeated
when he meets his enemies in
the place of judgement.

The Power Plug!

Buckle up! For the glory of the Lord is upon you! Oh Lord God Almighty, you are the one who is able to set the captives free! You unchain the prisoners and open the gates for them! You break the yokes of oppression in those who truly love you! Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ who is holy upon Mount Zion forever! Praise to the King! Let Him rule and reign in our hearts forevermore! Amen. Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

For these are the times we have been waiting for! The Lord God your King has come to set you free! He will deliver you from all the evils that have been affecting you in your life, and He will make the way clear for you. He has come that we may have life abundantly! He will restore to you the long lost dreams you have forgotten about. He will restore honour to you in your homes and in the land! He is the King of all kings – Hallelujah! Isaiah 61:6-7 NKJV “But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. Instead of shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.” Amen!

Please know, trust and understand that the Lord your God is on your side. He is leading you and guiding you around all the obstacles that have been for so long blocking your path. He is with you when you eat! He is with you when you sleep! He is on the job for you 24 hours and day and then some! He is with you now, holding you firmly by the shoulders, keeping you upright, and He will never, ever, and I say never, ever, and again, never, ever let you go! GOD LOVES YOU! May peace, love and understanding be yours now, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

PS Plug into Jesus, because He is the light of the world! He will light up your path and indeed your whole life! Isaiah 61:1-3 NKJV “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” AMEN!

All glory as always for these words goes to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

It's A New Day!

Glory to the King! Let us sing His praises! Let us all be glad in His presence! Let us all shout Hallelujah for all the wonderful things He has done! When we sing praises to the Lord, it is music to His ears! Psalm 147:1-6 “PRAISE the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. He counts the number of stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. The LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground.”

When was the last time you sang praises to the Lord? Was it when you were happy in your life - or when things weren’t going too well. It’s easy to sing and be joyful when things are going well for you, that is one thing, but when you are feeling low, and things around you seem to be all falling apart, that is when it becomes a little more challenging. That however, is when you need to do it the most!

When we praise Him with our mouths, we are not only thanking Him and giving Him honour for the wonderful things He has already done, but it is also thanking Him in advance for all the blessings He is yet to bestow upon us for our futures.

When we are giving praise, we cannot help but feel joyful! You may not initially feel all that good, but once you get past the initial effort, joy and happiness abounds! Here you will find resolution to all your problems and concerns. The Lord blesses a happy heart. Proverbs 15:15 NKJV “But he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.”

When you give thanks for your circumstances, exactly as they are, this will open the way for change. We cannot expect the Lord to give us more, if we are not expressing thanksgiving for what we already have. The Lord wants us to be thankful in all circumstances, including the ones we’re in now. Philippians 4:6 NKJV “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

How can we expect the Lord to prosper us if we are busy complaining. When we complain – we remain - exactly as we are! No-one wants to stay in a less than desirable situation, so it’s in our best interests to praise our Lord, give Him thanks, and rejoice and sing to Him. It’s the least we can do, after everything He has done for us! Ephesians 5:18-21 NKJV “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.” Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

PS Psalm 118:24 NKJV “This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Amen!
All glory for these words as always goes to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Peace and Restoration

Most of us would like a life of peace and tranquillity, although it seems at times, that the harder we strive for it, the more we are faced with situations that take away the very thing we want – and that is peace! Jesus wants us to be peaceful and contented in all situations without letting worry or fear affect our ability to stay calm in the midst of the storms.

In the Bible, it tells of an occasion where Jesus was in a boat with his disciples, and a great tempest suddenly arose on the sea and covered the boat with waves. Jesus was asleep, and His disciples started to panic, so they woke Him up. Matthew 8:26 NKJV ‘But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.’

Wouldn’t it have been great to have lived in Jesus’ time? Imagine actually living during the times when He was alive, and witnessing for ourselves the miraculous things He did!

If Jesus can make the winds and sea obey Him with a simple command, then surely we can put our faith and trust in Him to deliver and protect us from whatever storms are threatening to approach us. He wants us to show our faith in Him by not panicking like His disciples in the boat did, and by being content in all circumstances with the knowledge that we are being taken care of. Philippians 4:11 TNIV “for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”

The Apostle Paul goes on to explain how he can be content no matter what his circumstances are, by the very fact that it is Jesus who gives him the strength he needs to cope with whatever is happening to him. Philippians 4:13 AMP says “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me. I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.]”

We know that He is indeed sovereign and that He will delight in making our dreams come true. We know this because He gave His life for us, so that we would be redeemed from every possible misfortune that would befall us in this life. He needs you to come to Him with everything so that He can create for you the life you deserve.

We need to be thankful and give Him praise at all times, despite whether or not this is logical. These are supernatural responses which receive supernatural results! He is the God Almighty! He is the host of hosts! Psalm 46:7 NKJV says “The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.”

When we come to Him in the midst of all our trials, thanking Him for being in control, we shall experience much joy and peace in knowing that we can take our hands off the situation, and just sit back and relax while He leads us to a place of peace and restoration. Psalm 23:2-3 NKJV says “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His names sake.”

This and more He will do for you, for you are His chosen ones. He will deliver you from all transgressions, and will give you a peace of mind that can only be attained through Christ Himself. It is written in John 14:27 NKJV “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.”

To me, the name Jesus implies peace. If you look back at His life on Earth despite what was going on, He maintained an attitude of peace while faithfully obeying His Father in Heaven, right to the very end of His life. Even despite knowing what was about to happen to Him on the cross at Calvary, Jesus prayed according to Luke 22:42 NKJV “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done.” He still prayed for our Fathers will to be done and not His! He was faithful even to His last breath! All so that we could have life and have it abundantly! All this He did for you.

When you are seeking peace, look to Jesus. Gently whisper His name as a sign of your commitment to the truth, and you will be led on a journey of complete transformation. You will be taking the first vital steps towards your new life on the Road to Holiness. So be it, come Lord Jesus! Isaiah 35:8 says NLT “And a highway will be there, it will be called ‘The Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, and those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” Amen.

PS Colossians NKJV 4:3 says “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body and be thankful.” That is my prayer for you. Amen.

Thank you to the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit whom I believe as always have gifted me with these words to you today. Amen.

Rejoice and Be Merry!

When the world is telling you that you can’t have this dream, or that dream here’s what you should do. Be happy and praise the Lord your God, because He is about to give you your heart’s desires. Yes that’s right! This is not a misprint!

When we rejoice and give praise to the Lord, He will move mountains for us! You see, God in His mercy wants His children to be strong in their faith, and to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. This act of faith, tells our Father in heaven that we know and understand that He is in control of our situation, and that we believe that He is about to deliver us to our blessings.

It also sends the devil and his cohorts packing. It is written in Philippians 4:4 NKJV “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Notice that is says always. We are being told to rejoice always. Not only when things are going right for you, but always. Even, despite the troubles you may have for this will enable the Lord to do His work for you, so that you will have that new car, that promotion, that new job, that baby, that happy marriage, or whatever it is that you’ve been praying for.

Surrender all your troubles to the Lord, and He will come through for you. He wants to see you joyful and happy. He wants you to go through life enjoying the many miracles He has prepared for you. Psalm 68:3 NKJV says “But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.”

God wants us to rejoice exceedingly! Not just a little bit every now and then, but exceedingly! Another word for exceedingly is excessively. That means a lot! Get the picture? God knows something we don’t know, and that is all the wonderful possibilities that He is lining up for us in His grace! If only we could see beyond that curtain, we wouldn’t be able to believe our eyes! We’d be out singing and dancing in the streets!

These possibilities become ours when we surrender to the truth and let our God be the God that is promised to us throughout the Bible. Psalm 118:24 NLT says “This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” We certainly do have a lot to rejoice about, that’s for sure. I bet if you look back on your life, you would see the many blessings He has already given you. Even the things that perhaps seemed like problems to you, eventually all turned out for the best, even though at the time you couldn’t see it.

The Lord knows what is best for His children, and we must trust Him implicitly with our very lives. Psalm 33:21 NKJV says “For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name.” Our Lord would love nothing more than to see us all singing and dancing out in the streets right now and giving praise to His holy name!

If you’re a parent reading this, then you would know how happy your heart is when you see your children being joyful! It makes your heart sing with joy! Imagine then, how happy our Father in heaven is when He sees us rejoicing simply because we love Him and trust that He has got everything sorted! It is written in Psalm 33:1 NKJV “Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.” Amen!

All glory goes to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit whom I believe gifted me with these words today.

PS One more thing, a merry heart not only cheers our Father in heaven, it serves to create a buffer around you so that when things seem to go wrong, you are better equipped to walk through your days with a smile on your face and trusting the Lord. Proverbs 15:13 NKJV says “But he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.” Praise the Lord! Amen.

I Am The Lord Your God!

Exalt Him above all else and the Kingdom shall become yours. It is written in Psalm 113:1-3 "You servants of the LORD, praise his name! May his name be praised, now and for ever. From the east to the west Praise the name of the LORD!" In this temporal place called Earth, there are many trials and tribulations one must face. It is part and parcel of living here. John 16:33 NKJV says that "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

If we are to receive the Kingdom on Earth, then we must offer up praise and thanksgiving no matter what is going on around us. We must give thanks for our lives, our circumstances and for everyone around us. This is God's will for us.

We are to give thanks, not only when things seem great, but when trouble strikes and threatens to take away our happiness and peace of mind. It is written in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Be joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus." If we do this, even when it doesn't seem right or even logical, then we are claiming that the Lord is our God and He is then able to act on our behalf and deliver us from whatever is transpiring in our lives.

We must also guard our tongues with great care, and speak forth only that which we wish to experience. It is written in Proverbs 18:20-21 NKJV "A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who live it will eat its fruit."

When you find in life that certain things keep happening over and over again, one must ask 'why is this so?' Could it be because we are receiving exactly what we are speaking? If the power of life and death are in the tongue, then we must use if for our good. We must use it to speak forth life. We must use it to speak forth joy and so on.

The entire Universe was created by God. With His spoken word, He created the Earth. You only have to read Genesis in the Bible to discover how this was done. God spoke everything into existence with his commands. Genesis 1:3 NKJV says 'Then God said, "Let there be light", and then there was light.'

We all want to experience Heaven on Earth. The Bible says that we are made in His image. Genesis 1:27 NKJV says "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." So then, if we are made in His image, then we too can utilise His word and bring things into being by speaking them into our lives and situations. When we declare something positive and good with our mouths, we are giving force to the promises that God has for all of His children.

The power of His word is available to us all. Hebrews 4:12 says "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." When we activate His word with our voices, there is no limit to what can be achieved. His word is alive!

Just about every topic you can imagine is written about in the Bible. He has got it all covered! We are to use it for the betterment of our families, our relationships, our businessess, our churches, and even for our nations. That's why prayer is very powerful. When we speak forth the written word of God and claim the promises from within the Bible, God will act upon them. After all, He has set them there for us to use as guidelines on how and what we should pray for. How about that for taking care of His flock!

John 15:7 NKJV says "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." God is faithful. He will faithfully carry out His plans for you and for all of His chldren for all eternity. When we seek to please Him above all else, and when we seek to do the will of God, the Kingdom shall be ours, and we will experience Heaven on Earth. Matthew 6:33 says "but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Praise His might name! Amen.

PS  We have a lot to be thankful for don't we! Psalm 100:5 says "The LORD is good; his love is eternal and his faithfulness lasts for ever." Praise God!

Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit whom I believe have gifted me with these words for you today. Amen.

Who You Are In Christ

Please note, this next insight is written as though Jesus himself is talking to you. This is how I received the text, as follows:

The next topic for discussion is all about 'who you are in Christ.' Many people fail to realise that it is I who lives in you, and therefore it is I that must rule in your hearts at all times. Galations 2:20 says "so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me." It is through My unfailing love for you that we walk together hand in hand, one foot after the other, traversing rugged mountain ranges and very high cliff tops, all the while noticing the many miracles and wonderful scenery along the way.

It is only when you lose trust in Me that I cannot connect you with the many blessings that are in store for My Children. It takes courage and dedication to remain firm in your trust and faith. It is no easy task for the human being with all its frailties and weaknesses, however, all I ask is for you to trust Me with a childlike trust that all will be provided for, and that all of your needs will be met.

Put your faith in Me the way a baby trusts its mother to take care of them. Matthew 6:26 says "Look at the birds; they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds?"

It's very easy to get caught up in the demands of living that you tend to forget who you are. Striving for fulfilment in the outside world can leave you feeling battered and torn with an emptiness that can only be filled by Me. This is how I designed you to be, so that you would turn to Me for your fulfilment and needs, and so that you and I would live in close communion each day.

This is how your faith grows - by coming to Me for everything your heart desires and giving all your cares and burdens to Me. Psalm 68:19 says "Praise the Lord, who carries our burdens day after day." When one learns to do this on a daily basis, one can then begin to experience My power and grace flowing not only to you, but also through you and out to others.

This is how they see Me - through you. Then you can become a blessing to the world, and an example of how one should live a life in Christ. All areas in your life begin to change rapidly. People in your life begin to see the changes in you. They see branches bearing fruit where once there were none. Psalm 1:3 says "They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do."

When one commits to this new way of living, then one can truly begin to receive their inheritance, with all the many blessings arriving on their doorstep! Sounds too good to be true doesn't it? Believe it because it's true. These are among the many promises I give to you. You only have to read the Bible to see promise after promise for My followers. Hebrews 10:23 NKJV states "He who promised is faithful."

Let me begin to transform your life. Commit now to a life with Me in your heart and by your side, and you will be amazed at the wondrous blessings that I will bestow upon thee. And when someone asks you 'what it is you have been doing to achieve such success,' you can then tell them "it is no longer I who live, but it is christ who lives in Me." Amen.

PS  These words today have been written as though our Lord is speaking through me to you. This is how they 'came to me', and I believe that I have transcribed them perfectly as the Lord intended. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, son and Holy Spirit as always. Amen.
